A born and bred, technology-frustrated Yorkshireman, raised and schooled in a field near York. Treading the boards of theatre school, ‘Riding lights Youth Theatre’ during the nineties, from here I  travelled happily along with various theatre companies/Repertory Companies, appearing most recently as Frank Gardner (the loveable cheeky chappie) in George Bernard Shaw’s delightfully tongue-in-cheek ‘Mrs Warren’s Profession’ 2010.
Writing for me is a little akin to an ever present cuddly bear. Always my friend, always my critic and always, oh but always, my beloved companion in life.
Spreading twenty four years since my first published poem ‘Unicorn’ in 1989, it has, and continues to be, my learning curve to embrace many wide-ranging literary disciplines. Published works include ‘Art in the Afternoon’ for popular countryside glossy Hertfordshire Life Magazine. A report on local artist’s new collection of sought-after feel good original works of larger ladies by the late Beryl Cook. A fantastically empowering and accurate standpoint that women with curves are beautiful and it is the world outside which is a little shall we say, caricatured. A metaphor I take great pleasure in embracing through words.
I have a keen and professionally workshopped interest in script writing; a socio-political commentary blogsite followed by various national newspapers and respected commentary publications.
Currently writing for an award-winning and revolutionary full service Event Management Company.
So, here I am, a Yorkshireman in London trying passionately to bring an air of calmness, jovial yet genuine commentary to those that care to embrace my words. It is to write to be.
For Women Scorned, this most delicious of safe havens, it is my primary concern to embrace, engage your minds offering escapism, whimsicality, insight, and hopefully bring you an inner and outer calmness building strength of self. Coloured of course with a shiny red paint brush we shall again ‘paint the town red’ with pleasure.
